This Privacy Policy describes how your personal data is collected, used and disclosed when you visit or make a purchase on repzerobyriang.com (the “Site”).

The Site is operated by RIANG ECOMMERCE FZCO, a company established in the United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy. Our contact details are at the end of this policy.

Collection of personal data

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies installed on your device. In addition, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages and products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information”.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Cookies” are data files placed on your device or computer, and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, visit allaboutcookies.org.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages and date/time stamps.
  • “Web beacons”, “tags” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
  • The Meta pixel and Google Ads tags record your activity on the Site so that we can measure our advertising and show you relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google services.
  • Tracking technologies in our marketing emails record whether an email has been opened and which links have been clicked.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how you interact with the Site (clicks, scrolling and mouse movements) to produce heatmaps and session replays.

If you visit the Site from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we show you a cookie banner. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you consent. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie preferences on the Site or by contacting us.

In addition, when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your first and last name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, Ziina payment details and details of local and alternative payment methods), email address and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information”.

When we talk about “Personal Data” in this Privacy Policy, we are referring to both Device Information and Order Information.

How do we use your personal data?

We generally use Order Information to fulfil orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). In addition, we use Order Information to:

  • communicate with you;
  • screen our orders for potential risk or fraud;
  • provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services, in line with the preferences you have shared with us;
  • send you marketing emails through Shopify Email, where you have agreed to receive them.

We use the Device Information we collect (in particular your IP address) to screen for potential risk and fraud and, more generally, to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

We also use Device Information for advertising and retargeting: showing you REPZERO ads on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google services after you have visited the Site.

Sharing your personal data

We share your Personal Data with third-party companies that help us carry out the activities described above. For example, we use Shopify to power our online store. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use and interact with the Site. Clarity records behavioural data such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movements and page navigation, and produces heatmaps and session replays. It uses cookies and similar technologies, and runs only if you have consented to analytics cookies. This data is shared with Microsoft, which acts as our service provider. We also share Personal Data with Meta and Google for remarketing and targeted advertising, with Shopify (through Shopify Email) to send you marketing communications, with the couriers who deliver your order, and with our payment providers (including Ziina) to process your payments.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Data to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or otherwise to protect our rights.

Google Analytics advertising features

We use Google Analytics 4 with the following Google Analytics Advertising Features enabled:

  • Google signals. If you are signed in to a Google account and have turned on ads personalisation, Google associates your activity on the Site with your Google account. This gives us aggregated, cross-device reporting and aggregated demographic and interest reports. We do not receive information that identifies you personally through this feature.
  • Remarketing with Google Ads. We build audiences from Site activity and use them to show our ads on Google services and partner sites.

For these features, we and Google use first-party cookies and identifiers (such as the Google Analytics cookie) together with third-party cookies and identifiers (such as Google advertising cookies) to measure how visitors use the Site, to report on how our ads perform, and to show ads based on past visits to the Site.

Your rights

You can exercise any of the rights below by contacting us using the details at the end of this policy. We will respond within the time limits set by the law that applies to you.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland

We process your Personal Data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to process and deliver your orders, take payment and provide customer service.
  • Consent: for analytics and advertising cookies, the Meta pixel, Google Analytics advertising features, and marketing emails. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
  • Legitimate interests: to screen for fraud, keep the Site secure, and improve the Site and our products.
  • Legal obligation: to keep tax and accounting records and respond to lawful requests.

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have it corrected or updated;
  • have it deleted;
  • restrict or object to our processing, including objecting to direct marketing at any time;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.

Your data is transferred outside Europe, including to the United Arab Emirates, where we are based, and to Canada and the United States, where our service providers operate. Where required, these transfers are protected by safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses put in place by our service providers.

If you are in the United Arab Emirates

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or stop processing, to object to direct marketing, and to withdraw your consent. You may also submit a complaint to the UAE Data Office.

If you are in Singapore

Data retention

We keep Order Information for 5 years after your last order, or until you ask us to delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it for longer (for example, tax and accounting records).

We keep your email address for marketing until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics property, which is no more than 14 months. Cookies are kept for the lifetime of each cookie, unless you delete them earlier.

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your Personal Data, including encrypted connections on the Site and access limited to the people and service providers who need it. Payment card details are processed by our payment providers and are not stored on our own systems.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices, or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
